PURPOSE

The main purpose of the Championship Quiz League is to provide an excellent and fun means for young people, grades 7 through 12, to attain an in-depth understanding of the Bible. CQL offers the following benefits:

an opportunity for mentoring
motivation for memorizing God's Word
cultivates a proper attitude toward winning and losing through competition
opportunities for travel and fellowship with other teens in a Christian environment
impacting the lives of future generations

OVERVIEW

Patterned after the A/G Teen Bible Quiz program (one of the nations largest and oldest Bible quiz organizations). CQL will provide the structure (rules, materials, schedules…) for various church quiz teams participation. A quiz team is a small group made up of 2-6 youth team members (quizzers), and a coach. Each team must have a coach, and this adult man or woman will have the approval of the church's pastor or an elder. This person should be someone who genuinely cares about the team member's education, spiritual development and safety. The coaches are typically teachers and parents. Teams would travel to a host church for quiz competition usually on Saturdays and about once a month. September would be the beginning of the season, which would end in March with a finals meet, and a team being named Word-Cup Champions. The winning team is presented with the Word-Cup with each team members name and home church engraved. The following year this team is charged with awarding that years Word-Cup Champions with the Word-Cup and the process is repeated.

10% of the questions coming from Genesis 1-11, (We hope to instill a Biblical foundation by giving coaches excellent opportunities to equip teens with answers to basic questions).
